(12/30/09)  Jeffry J. Karls, the president of Magdalen College in Warner, New Hampshire, was a guest on the CatholicTV.com program “This is the Day” on December 18.  During the episode, Karls talked about the founding and educational philosophy of Magdalen College.  He promoted Magdalen’s strong Catholic identity and touted the fact that Magdalen has had 45 vocations to the priesthood during the College’s 35 year existence.  He also highlighted the fact that Magdalen is one of the faithful Catholic colleges included in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, and made reference to The Center for the Study of Catholic Higher Education research which found that the colleges included in The Newman Guide are both “faithful and affordable.”  Click here to watch the entire “This is the Day” episode with President Karls.
